As most of you know by now (and if you don’t, you’ve now been warned) that Windows 7, Microsoft’s newest and maybe most stable OS in years, will be launching to the public on October 22nd. It may be a while before it becomes the corporate standard, but it’s never to early to start thinking about how it will work with Oracle’s tool sets.
Steven Chan posted an update (July 1st) on Oracle’s progress on certifying the E-Business Suite with Windows 7. They are still working with Windows 7 pre-release version and appear to be making progress. Nice job guys!
As always, Steven seems to put out the most helpful information via blogs at Oracle and this post is no different. There are lots of details for Windows 7, IE, JInitiator and a whole lot more. It’s worth the read.
